Water is the enemy of the tennis ball. Wet tennis balls become heavy as the fibers expand and fill with water, losing their bounce quickly. Usually tennis balls are placed back in their tin after play with the lid on. Any moisture collected in the ball fibres cannot escape from the sealed container, so the balls remain wet until the tin is reopened, which is ofter up to several days or even weeks later.

Trying to play with the wet balls again is useless as the bounce has reduced and they are still heavy from the retained moisture. Bad for your arm and bad for your game. The wet balls are normally thrown away and so new balls have to be purchased. Further cost and inconvenience to the player.

The secret is to dry tennis balls as quickly as possible after they have become wet. Old solutions such as placing them in tumble dryers or on radiators are not very effective. The heat expands the rubber lining of tennis balls and allows the inner pressure to escape more easily. This means your balls will lose their bounce quicker. Add to this, the inconvenience, energy and cost required to heat the balls and it is clear this is not a good solution.

Instructions for use:

To dry wet tennis balls and close the bag;

Place up to four tennis balls in the Tennis Ball Dryer. Pull the cord at the top to close the bag, then pull the red handle to the right and wrap around to seal over the green handle. This pulls the bag tight around the balls allowing maximum contact with the inner lining to begin the drying process.

To open after drying and release the
dry tennis balls;

To open after drying, simply release the red handle and pull the green handle to the left to losen the elastic. Pull the cord stopper at the top of the bag and remove the balls.

  2  Net Measure. Check net height is correct.

The Second useful function of the Tennis Ball Dryer is a net measure guide, which has been added to the handle cord.

“Is the net the correct height ?”, has been said or heard by many of us on a tennis court. Often there is no net measure guide available to help check. Players end up guessing the correct height and confidence is never assured.

No need to guess the correct height anymore, as you can use the Net Measure Guide on the Tennis Ball Dryer. Your opponents can no longer blame the net height for losing to you.

Instruction for use;
Un-pop the fastener on the cord and extend the length of cord straight through the bottom of the bag. Now hold vertically against the centre of the tennis net and use the length between the two red markers to check the net height matches.
